On May 21st, it was abruptly announced by F.CUZ’s agency, Can Entertainment, that member LeeU (Lee Seung Hyun) has been officially withdrawn from the group.
Down below is the official announcement from Can Entertainment.

Hello, this is Can Entertainment.

We’re always thankful for the love and support from fans of F.CUZ, and we sincerely apologize for having to break such bad news to our fans.

The reason why we are posting this is to inform everyone that F.CUZ’s LeeU (Lee Seung Hyun) has been withdrawn from the group.

F.CUZ was a unit team that was formed between three members of UNION CAN - Kim Jin Chul (Jinon), Choi Young Hak (Kan), Kim Ye Jun - and a fourth member, Lee Seun Hyun, from Castle J Enterprise.

These members went through pain and happiness together as trainees, and finally debuted on February 8th of 2010 under F.CUZ. Not only has F.CUZ been promoting in Korea, but they have travelling back and forth to promote in overseas countries such as Japan and Taiwan. They were always thankful for their fans, and also put in their best of efforts to show a good image.

However, this year, many different opinions were spoken out due to the differences in the direction of the group’s music, compounded with Lee Seung Hyun’s strong hopes into promoting as a solo artist. Consequently, it was decided for the member to be withdrawn from the group.

Agency representatives had been searching in the dark for the possibility of promoting as a four-membered unit group; however, a proper scheme was failed to be found. At the end of many careful deliberations, it was decided for Lee Seung Hyun to withdraw from the group. As a way to respect his intentions, our agency representatives decided to announce his official withdrawal.

We would like to give out gratitude and apologies to all the fans who have loved and supported F.CUZ.

Please keep supporting the future activities of Lee Seung Hyun and a new F.CUZ.

Once again, we would like to apologize for having to announce this news, and we will work harder to become a more developed Can Entertainment.

Boyfrien debuts on M! Countdownwith Boyfriend

Having released their first single album earlier today, Starship Entertainment’s rookie boy group ‘Boyfriend‘ have begun their debut promotions though tonight’s episode of Mnet’s ’M! Countdown‘.
The boys classify themselves as a ‘New Wave’ band, and are comprised of six members who are literally aiming to be the boyfriends of their fans through their title track, “Boyfriend.” Brave Brothers aimed to bring out the unqiue vocal colors of each member through a memorable rhythm line and sweet lyrics.

Kim Yuna and Park Jung Hyun release their duet single, “Winter Dream”

Figure skater Kim Yuna has collaborated with vocalist Park Jung Hyun for a special single called ‘Winter Dream‘, made in order to support Pyeongchang’s Olympic bid to host the 2018 Winter Games. Produced by Yoon Jong Shin, the song was a remake of ’Don’t Worry, Be Happy‘.
This unique collaboration effort portrays Korea’s earnest wish to be able to host the Winter Olympics; the country has already failed two times to secure a bid.
A production staff stated, “Park Jung Hyun’s fantastic vocals didn’t seem to match Kim Yuna’s clear voice but I couldn’t hide my surprise at the harmony created. I felt overflowing joy at the two faeries’ heavenly song, which seemed like a signal of our country winning the bid.”
‘Dream Winter’ was released on May 19th through eight major digital music sites, including Soribada, Cyworld Music, and Mnet.

Cube Entertainment shared some exclusive info with allkpop about idol group B2ST’s first full-length album, “Fiction and Fact“!
It’s an album that fans have long been waiting for, and judging by the track list descriptions, it’s shaping up to be a formidable piece of work.
The album’s intro track, “The Fact“, is meant to fit in with their title track, “Fiction“. The intro song alone is meant to give fans a taste of B2ST’s deep sensitivity. The break-up that they didn’t want to acknowledge in “The Fact” is seamlessly continued in “Fiction”. “Fiction” is a track that breaks away from B2ST’s usual strong sound, and its charms lie in its piano melody and lyrics. The song tells of a love that they want to cling to, even if by writing a novel. The depth of this song’s emotions are further explored in the orchestrated version of “Fiction”, which is also included in the album.
Meanwhile, the song “Back to You” is expected to be a huge hit amongst their fans, thanks to its addictive musical structure. “Though I Call” is a pop ballad that was further enhanced by the members’ voices.
Drawing back to an emotive performance, fans are sure to swoon over “On Rainy Days“, which was recorded on an actual rainy day in order to further accentuate that delicate sorrow. “You” steps away from the sad atmosphere by delivering a song overflowing with the joys of love. Junhyung wrote this with B2ST’s fanbase in mind, and decided to present it to them as a musical gift. Speaking of musical gifts, an unplugged version of their previously released “Lightless” has also been included in this album.

Cube tells allkpop that pre-orders for B2ST’s album became available on all online music sites starting May 11th, and that the album will drop in full on May 17th. Each of B2ST’s Korean album releases have claimed #1 spots on many music sales charts in the past, which allowed B2ST to be considered as a strong force in the industry. Therefore, their full-length album is receiving high expectations for its album sales figure.
We definitely have no doubt that the boys will wreck the charts with this new album, and that’s just from a description of tracks alone. Stay tuned to allkpop for more exclusive B2ST updates!

Girl group After School recently shared some sel-cas from the backstage of a music program.
These ladies are some of Korea’s top female celebrities, thanks to their sleek bodies and beautiful faces. Indeed, fans agree that the members have raised the bar for both beauty and fashion.
After School released a set of behind-the-scenes photos to commemorate their recent comeback. With the addition of their newest member E-Young, the girl group became even brighter and more vibrant as a unit. Check out the series below!

1. A gathering like this
It’s rare for a girl group to follow a graduation system, but After School decided to run with it. With their new 4th generation “student” E-Young, After School now consists of 9 members. Because of their busy solo activities, it was hard to gather all the members together. For the first time in a long time, the 9 members met up for their album jacket photoshoot.
Their usual sharp appearances look rather soft and bright.

2. There is no other pictorial
‘Oldest sister’ Kahi stood before the camera during the chaos prior to getting on stage. As Kahi puts on her accessories, the photo reminds us of a pictorial.

3. Do you know the appreciation of art?
UEE is holding a fan in an alluring manner by playfully covering her mouth while smiling. The fan which says “The appreciation of the arts” is particularly fitting.

4. Revitalize!
Lizzy and Jooyeon are having fun taking selcas with their puffed-up cheeks. The playful duo serve as the energizers for their exhausted teammates.

5. Are we the same?
Jung Ah jokes around as she copies the expression in the picture. The waiting room flooded with laughter as she made this cartoonish-like pose.

6. Watching one after another
The members have all gathered around a camcorder, which recorded the performance they just completed. For a moment, their mischief has come to an end as they focus on reviewing their stage.

It’s not uncommon for an idol group to face sharp criticisms or to be talked about in a condescending way. While it’d be nice if they could overcome everything calmly, it’s difficult to constantly live under the standards of skeptics. Unsurprisingly, criticisms are even harsher towards girl groups.
After School in particular were victims of many misunderstandings and rumors. In a recent interview, the members expressed how they felt heartbroken and wronged.
Kahi confessed, “I felt like it was really unfair when I was labeled as the ‘loser girl’. I said what I said because I myself am tall and I talked about my ideal type… it was disappointing.”
In the past, Kahi guested on MBC’s “Quiz to Change the World“. When she was asked about her ideal type, she stated, “I prefer above 183cm (6ft) tall”, causing her to be compared to the girl who stated that short guys are ‘losers’ during an episode of “Chat with Beauties“. Of course, many netizens concluded, “That’s an excessive reaction” and Kahi clarified, “I did not use the term ‘loser’, and I am also against calling someone a loser because of a disadvantage. I am very sorry to the many people who were upset by my simple statement. I am also sorry to the staff members of “Quiz to Change the World” who suffered because of me.”
UEE, who was blamed for the failure of her drama “Birdie Buddy“, stepped up to talk about how the accusations made her feel. “In the past, I would have been very hurt and worried a lot, but I received a lot of help while on SBS ‘Night after Night‘.”
She added, “Kim Jae Dong oppa, in particular, gave me lots of words of wisdom: ‘You are you. Don’t show your weak side to those who like you, don’t let your ego be shaken, and work hard.’ In the past, I would have thought, ‘What did I do wrong?’, but now, rather than falling over the last thought, I think I am moving forward one step at a time.”
Surpringly, it was Kahi who displayed the most heartbreak over UEE’s situation. “There are many people who say things meanly.”
Raina stated that she was most upset about something that occurred last year during an awards show. She stated, “There was a stage where members of girl groups came out together and danced the point choreography. I’m not very good at dancing, so I was a little embarrassed. That’s why I looked at the other members and laughed, but f(x)’s Luna happened to be diagonally in front of me. The next day when I looked it up, they made it look like I was laughing at Luna’s dancing. That’s not why I laughed, so I was very sorry and embarrassed.  When I saw her during a broadcast later on, I apologized, and she said it was okay.

Fans received a shock after 2NE1’s Dara publicly revealed her cell phone number through her Me2day!
On May 10th, Dara uploaded a picture of her business card and wrote, “In the early morning, I become sensitive. Dal-ong is so lonely. Am I going to get into mischief tonight?! Whatever~! Revealing my number! I’m so lonely!”
She also added, “If I’m working, my manager or the other members might take the call for me.”
As it turns out, her number’s actually for a unique promotions tactic that YG Entertainment is using for “Lonely.” Representatives revealed, “If you call the number written on the business card, you’ll be able to hear a portion of ‘Lonely’ that repeats. It’s a unique event, and we’re already receiving an explosive response with hundreds of calls.”

Co-Ed’s female sub-unit 5dolls are back for another round of promotions after concluding their debut earlier this year.
The girls teamed up with hit composers Kim Kibum, Kang Jiwon, Shinsadong Tiger, and Choi Kyu Sang for a new club remix album titled, “Time to Play“. Comprised of eight tracks, five of them are remixed songs from their debut album, “Charming Five Girls.” The album also includes an intro and two new songs, one of which is their title track, “Like This or That.”
“Like This or That” is the work of Kim Kibum and Kang Jiwon (of SECRET’s “Madonna“, “Shy Boy“, “Magic“). It features an addictive bass sound and an electric guitar, which combined gives a retro feel to the chorus.
Since their album is scheduled to drop on May 11th, fans can stave off the wait by checking out their MV teaser and concept photos below!

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha recently unveiled profile pictures of herself without the usage of Photoshop, showcasing her innocent charms.
On May 9th, the singer revealed close-up shops of her face through her agency Nega Network, providing pictures to her fans curious about her current activities.
Naega Network stated, “This is the first time Narsha is revealing un-photoshopped pictures of herself after her debut, excluding the pictures on her minihompy and Twitter. Her profile pictures came out nicely so we revealed them without editing them.”
Meanwhile, Brown Eyed Girls will soon have a comeback with their 4th album.
